Q: How to install this mod?

Open the downloaded zip file using WinRAR or 7zip etc.Find “Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod” directory on your computer.Drag the file with “SCS” extension from the zip file to the mod folder you find.Enter the American Truck Simulator and activate this mod from the Mod Manager located in Profiles screen.Exit the mod manager and start the game. How to install this mod?

Open the downloaded zip file using WinRAR or 7zip etc.

Find “Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod” directory on your computer.
Drag the file with “SCS” extension from the zip file to the mod folder you find.
Enter the American Truck Simulator and activate this mod from the Mod Manager located in Profiles screen.

Exit the mod manager and start the game. Enjoy the mod!

Does this mod work in Convoy mode?

Yes, you can use this mod in Convoy mode.

How can I make the mod compatible with a truck mod?

You can use the Realistic Truck Physics mod with your truck mods by creating a small add-on. Follow the steps below.

Find def/vehicle/truck/**truck_name**/chassis directory from the files of the truck mod you’re using.
Copy the chassis folder.
Navigate to American Truck Simulator mod directory and create a new folder.

Inside the new folder you created, create the same folders as in your truck mod and paste the chassis folder you copied in step 2 into the **truck_name** folder you created.
Open the chassis folder you pasted. You should see *chassis*.sii files here. You can delete other files like sound.
Open each *chassis*.sii file and delete all lines starting with residual_travel[]:

After deleting them, add the following line to it, depending on the chassis type. You can see the chassis type from “info” section.
– If it’s an 4×2 or 4×4 chassis file, add this line:
@include "/def/vehicle/realistic_physics_4x2.sui"
– If it’s an 6×2 or 6×4 or 6×6 chassis file, add this line:
@include "/def/vehicle/realistic_physics_6x2_4.sui"
– If it’s an 8×2 or 8×4 or 8×6 chassis file, add this line:
@include "/def/vehicle/realistic_physics_8x4.sui"
Example:
Perform step 6 and 7 on all *chassis*.sii files and save the files.
Leave the folder you created as it is. You do not need to create a ZIP or SCS archive.
