Required Truck Configurations

You need to make these configurations to use the mod in the most realistic way. There are three methods.

If you have enabled the developer console, you can easily make the configurations. If you haven’t, see this guide to enable it.

Open the developer console by pressing “^” key (left of 1 on keyboard) in the game and type the following commands: (press enter after typing every line)

g_truck_stability 1.0
g_trailer_stability 1.0
g_suspension_stiffness 0.85
g_cabin_suspension_stiffness 1.0

Configurations for realistic interior camera movements (Optional)
g_cam_physics 1
g_cam_physics_value 1.0

That’s all! You have successfully made the configuration.

  1. Locate your Euro Truck Simulator 2 profile directory.
  2. Find the file named config.cfg in the profiles folder.
If you have enabled Steam Cloud Saves in your profile, you need to find a file named config_local.cfg from the steam_profiles folder.
  3. Open the config file with Notepad.
(Right click the file, select “Open with” and pick “Notepad”.)
  4. Find the following variables one by one in the config file and replace their values with the following ones:

    Variable: uset g_truck_stability Value: 1.0
    Variable: uset g_trailer_stability Value: 1.0
    Variable: uset g_suspension_stiffness Value: 0.85
    Variable: uset g_cabin_suspension_stiffness Value: 1.0

Configurations for realistic interior camera movements (Optional)
    Variable: uset g_cam_physics Value: 1.0
    Variable: uset g_cam_physics_value Value: 1.0

  5. Save the config file.
(In Notepad, click on “File” → “Save”.)
  6. That’s all! You have successfully made the configuration.

You can apply the following settings in the game, but with this method, the Active Roll Control(ARC) feature of the mod will not work, so your truck can easily roll-over on bends.
